He died July 4, 1966, of wounds suffered from hostile fire in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. Bobby died just five days short of his 24th birthday. If you ever visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, Bobby’s name can be found on Panel 08E – Line 130 of the Wall.
