First of all, being that this was my own mother makes this the hardest entry to ever have to do. She was known and loved by many!

Debi Reed Davis, 62, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital West, in Lake St. Louis, Mo.

Mrs. Davis was born June 16, 1949 in Poplar Bluff. She was owner and operator of The Beauty Hut and Kidz-Kutz Salons, and was a former Girl Scout Troop Leader. Mrs. Davis enjoyed reading, drawing, painting, restoring old homes, gardening and watching the Black River.

On July 27, 2002, she married Dennis Michael Davis in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Davis survives of the home.

Other survivors include two children, Jamie Reed of St. Louis, Mo. and Jason Reed of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Kyle, Jaelyn and Jacksen Reed; two step-children, Micah Bailey and husband Anthony and Mallory Day and husband Dale and their daughter, Savannah all of Poplar Bluff ; and two brothers, James Quigley of Union, Mo. and Charles Quigley of Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, William James and Emma (Langley) Wheelis and a sister, Ann Lovette.
